RULES and POLICIES
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE INSPECTIONS
ARRIVAL INSPECTIONS: Check-in time after 1:00 p.m. Upon arrival, a THJC representative will meet with the Renters to provide a walkthrough and inspection of the RV site condition and confirm inventory of items. A move-in/arrival inspection form will be completed to document the condition of the RV site and confirm the inventory of items in the RV Site Rental. A completed inspection form will be signed by the Renters and signed by and THJC representative. The process should take about 10 to 15 minutes.
DEPARTURE INSPECTIONS: Check-Out time is 11:00 a.m. on the scheduled move out date as it appears in the invoice. A move-out/departure inspection form will be completed to document the condition of the RV site and confirm the inventory of items on the RV site. A completed inspection form will and signed by and THJC representative and Renters. Renters will receive a copy. If any inventory items are missing or damaged, the Renters will be charged the replacement cost for each item. The whole checkout process should take approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
FISHING
Renters will need to secure a North Carolina fishing license and follow applicable fishing regulations. Once a license is issued, Renters can access Jonathan Creek from the RV site to catch fish during the approved season.
ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES
No illegal substance may be used, manufactured, or sold during stay. If Renters and/or their guest(s) uses, manufactures, or sells illegal substances, the duration of the stay is voided, and guests will immediately be evicted with no refund and will forfeit security deposit. This also applies to any other illegal activities.
PET S
THJC is pet friendly and welcomes campers who travel and share their camping with the family dog and/or cat. THJC cannot accept breeds having a history of unfriendly and aggressive behavior to both other dogs and humans. These breeds are identified by the insurance provider: Akitas, Boxers, Bulldogs, Chows, Dobermans, German Shepherds, Huskies, Malamutes, Mastiffs, Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Shar Pei, Wolf and mixes of any of these breeds.
We encourage all dog owners to call us in advance to inquire about any specific rules that may apply to their situations, (828) 237-2700.
To ensure all our guests have a safe and enjoyable time, it is important that the Renters read and abide by the following pet policy. If the Renters violate one or more of the following the items listed below, THJC reserves the right to remove the Renters from the property with no refund.
QUIET HOURS
Renters, guest, and visitors must observe quiet hours from 11 pm to 8 am. Failure to comply with quiet hours may result in removal without a refund.
RECYCLE AND REFUSE
THJC take pride in being clean and environmentally friendly. Renters will be provided with two garbage cans and garbage bags. One garbage can will be used for refuse and the other garbage can will be used for recycling and will have the letter R in the garbage lid.
Recyclables include and are limited to dry glass bottles and jars, plastic containers, plastic bags, plastic bottles, aluminum and steel cans, food and beverage cartons, paper products (including newspapers and flattened cardboard). If you see trash on the lawn, THJC asks that you help us pick it up and put it in the nearest garbage container.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY, PROMISE NOT TO SUE, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND AGREEMENT TO PAY CLAIMS
In consideration for being allowed to participate in the renting of the RV site, at the times and locations on behalf of the Renters, their guests, next of kin, heirs, and/or representatives, release from all liability and agree not to sue THJC and/or their representatives or officers from any and all claims including claims regarding THJC their officers and/or representatives negligence, resulting in any physical or psychological injury (including paralysis and death), illness, damages, or economic or emotional loss, guests, next of kin, heirs, and/or representatives may suffer because of their participation in renting the RV site , including traveling and any other during activities. Renters and their guest are voluntarily participating in this the renting of the RV site and are aware of the risk associated with participating in such activity which includes, but is not limited to, physical or psychological injury, pain, suffering, and illness, and disfigurement, temporary or permanent disability including (paralysis), economic or emotional loss, and/or death. Renters and their guest understand that these injuries or outcomes may arise from their own or other's actions/in-actions, or negligence. Nonetheless, Renters and their guest assume all related risks, known or unknown to Renters, associated with their participation in this activity. Renters and their guest further agree to hold harmless THJC, their officers and/or representatives harmless from any and all claims, including attorney’s fees or damage to personal property that may occur as a result of participation in this activity including travel to, from and during the activity.
If THJC their officers and/or representatives incurs any expenses regarding the aforesaid, Renters agree to reimburse THJC their officers and/or representatives for said expenses. If Renters require medical treatment, Renters agree to be financially responsible for any and all costs incurred as a result of such treatment. Renters are aware and understand that they should carry their own health insurance.
Renters must be 21 years or older. Renters are responsible for their guest and understand the legal consequences including: (a) releasing THJC their officers and/or representatives from all liability; (b) promising not to sue THJC their officers and/or representatives; and (c) and assuming all risks of participating in this activity, including travel to, from and during the activity.
THJC their officers and/or representatives are not liable for injury to any persons, and loss or damage of any property in or about the site from any cause whatsoever. Renters and their guests agree to indemnify THJC, their officers jointly and severally and/or representatives harmless from any and all loss, damage, liability, and expense (including reasonable attorney’s fees and other cost incurred with defending any claim) resulting from any actual or alleged injury to any person or from any actual or alleged damage to property.
SITE AVAILABILITY
THJC will make every effort to provide the RV site but accepts no liability in the event the RV site is unavailable due to circumstances beyond THJC control. In the event the RV site becomes unavailable, Renters will receive a full refund and have no other remedy than to find camper rental services elsewhere at their own expense. This includes but is not limited to 1) Federal, State of Local government mandates similar to recent COVID-19 quarantines and/or 2) natural disasters that limit access to the area.
